Life at Maison Bean is a bit of a zoo right now which is probably how we ended up with 1500 ladybugs and counting. (Some of them appeared to be procreating as we watched.)
We emancipated them last Sunday morning. The little Beans both had bed head, and as you can see, I’m still perfecting my cinematography skills, and there’s five entire minutes of it, including a one minute still at the end so the song could run through the end. Unless you just love Moon River or little boys running around after ladybugs, one minute of this may be all you need.

XOXO, Jenny
Moon River, wider than a mile,
I’m crossing you in style some day.
Oh, dream maker, you heart breaker,
Wherever you’re going, I’m going your way.
Two drifters off to see the world.
There’s such a lot of world to see.
We’re after the same rainbow’s end—
Waiting ’round the bend,
My huckleberry friend,
Moon River and me.

Darling. It felt so warm and sunny and I absolutely loved the hair. My very favorite part was when your older boy was looking at the ground and your shadows were next to each other. I would have captured the picture at that moment. This is priceless.
This video cracks me up – especially with Moose running off and playing with the garage door and basketball hoop while Jax so seriously contemplates the ladybugs. It also made me tear up a little – I blame the hormones.
That was touching! Moose could give a crap. He was more interested in what was in the trailer! LOL! Jax was intrigued! He would have loved the 1500 tadpoles in my pool cover last year!
The music was perfect! Great video Jen! Thanks for sharing!
And where was Papa?
Kelley: thank you for visiting. I didn’t even notice the shadows. Have to go look again. Just visited your site–your photography is exquisite. It’s too bad you’re on the left coast and we’re on the right.
Shannon: it’s the hormones. When are you going to have that baby?!
Irene: Jax would have loved the tadpoles. I have a feeling he’s going to be a mad scientist. Papa was off on a bicycle.
LOL, this is brilliant! I’ve never seen so many ladybugs in one place!
Hilarious! I think a ladybug was eaten in the process. I’m just saying. Don’t worry. I won’t report you.
