He changed the world

October 6, 2011

“Here’s to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the squSteve Jobsare holes … the ones who see things differently … they’re not fond of rules…. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can’t do is ignore them because they change things … they push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world are the ones who do.”

Steve Jobs, 1955-2011

Steve Jobs—he changed the world as we know it.  Now he’s in heaven.

It’s a sad day.

Yes, we lost a brilliant mind as well as a compassionate one. He will be missed.

Love that quote! My husband and I had the first mac ever and have never looked back. Steve Jobs has been an idol to us… and luckily we first bought stock at $12 a share. : ) Wish we’d bought more!!!

I’ve been seeing so many quotes by him today. He really was brilliant. And way too young. Very sad.

You inspired me to re-post a video Steve Job’s graduation speech to Stanford students on my facebook page. It’s from a post I wrote last April. It’s wonderful (the speech, not my post 😀 ) http://www.zen-mama.com/?p=2033 if anyone is interested, toward the bottom of the page.

I bought an Apple computer. It does what I want to do when I want to do it. Unlike my PC which did what it wanted to do when ever the hell it want to.

I bought I-Pad which even a 4 year old can operate. I know this is true because I see the 4 year old who stole it using it.

Irene: you’re so right.

Ally: he was way too young.

Betsy: I remember when you posted the graduation speech on your blog. It was the first time I’d seen it. I’ve seen it a few times since and it still inspires me as much as the first time.

Papa: The 4-year-old operates better than you!

P.S. Betsy, I wish I’d bought some Apple stock at $12 a share too!
